Lydia is a freelance writer who has written for several national magazines, including WIRED. She is a Traverse City native and a graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. 

Erin Bernhard

Erin has written for the Leelanau Enterprise, The Awesome Mitten, several literary journals, and also for the Traverse City Film Festival and the United Way of Northwest Michigan.

Ross Boissoneau

Ross Boissoneau is a freelance writer, music journalist and critic. He regularly writes about restaurants for Northern Express.

Elizabeth Booth O'Toole

Elizabeth Booth O'Toole lives and works in Traverse City. Her work has appeared in several local and national publications including Corp Magazine, Town & Country Living, Metro Times, Traverse Magazine, Northern Home & Cottage, Old Home Journal and also on National Public Radio.

Tom Carr is a multi-media journalist with more than 25 years covering northern Michigan. He writes news and features for the Ticker and the Traverse City Business News. He is a frequent contributor to Interlochen Public Radio. For nearly two decades, he was a reporter and columnist for the Traverse City Record-Eagle.

Lynn Geiger is the head writer for the Traverse City Business News and The Ticker. She first started writing for the paper as a freelancer in the mid-1990s and has been with The Ticker since its launch in 2007. Lynn lives in downtown Traverse City.

Carrie Henderson has been writing for more than 10 years in both TV and print. For five years she worked at 7&4 News as a producer and assignment editor. An avid sports fan, Carrie landed her dream job at ESPN in 2008.

She divides her time between her hometown of Harbor Springs and New York City, where she is pursuing her own music and film work.

She started and wrote the Traverse City Record-Eagle's "Twentysomething" column from 2005 to 2007 and has written for Traverse Magazine, NM3 and MyNorth.com, among others. She appears every Friday at 10am on The Christal Frost Show on WTCM Radio to discuss the week in news.
