186 Home Sales In January

The Traverse Area Association of Realtors (TAAR) has released its single-family home sales statistics in the five-county area for the first month of 2016. Highlights include:

186 total sales with a median sold price of $169,200 and total dollar volume of $37,529,060. This compares to 152 sales in January 2015 with a median sold price of $187,175 and total dollar volume of $37,661,339.

Stats from previous Januarys are below:

Jan. 2014: 176 sales, $175,000 (median sold price), $38.1 million (dollar volume)

Jan. 2013: 159 sales, $132,500 (median sold price), $29.5 million (dollar volume)

Jan. 2012: 121 sales, $125,000 (median sold price), $25.7 million (dollar volume)
