In honor of its 100th Anniversary, Traverse City Light & Power (TCL&P) has released a commemorative edition book that captures the utility’s history. The book is available – free – on a first-come, first-served basis at TCL&P's customer service desk inside the Governmental Center, 400 Boardman Avenue, in TC. The book highlights community milestones like Peter Dougherty's planting of the first cherry orchard on Old Mission in 1852, the removal of the Bayside Power plant in 2005 and first-hand accounts of events like the Blizzard of 1977.
