Great Lakes Fish Boil at Black Star

Sept. 16, 2014

To help celebrate the 2014 Michigan Schooner Festival, Black Star Farms will host a traditional Great Lakes Fish Boil on Wednesday, September 17 at their Suttons Bay location at 10844 E. Revold Road. Black Star Farms Chef Jonathan Dayton and his team will serve up fresh Lake Michigan whitefish and trout, local corn and potatoes, harvest-themed sides, salads, coleslaw and dessert, as well as an option of grilled chicken instead of fish.

In addition to the meal, attendees will receive a complimentary glass of the limited edition Black Star Farms Arcturos H-28 Medium Dry Riesling. According to Black Star Farms Managing Partner Don Coe: "Four years ago, James Wall and I donated one of three remaining Nat Herreshoff designed H-28s on the Great Lakes to the Maritime Heritage Alliance. It was renamed Arcturos by the MHA and is used for maritime education. We thought a wine made from Michigan's most popular grape would be the perfect tribute."

Seatings will be held at 5:30pm and 7pm, with an all-inclusive price of $28.95 for adults, $12.95 for kids 12 and under, and free admission for kids under 3. More here.
