Individuals Identified in Old Mission Peninsula Accident Death

The Grand Traverse Sheriff’s Office has provided more details about the accident that caused the death of an Old Mission Peninsula resident Monday night, noting they were dispatched to Peninsula Drive near Wilson Road in response to a reported car/pedestrian accident. A preliminary investigation shows that Ann Marie Riley, a 73-year-old Traverse City woman, was struck by a passenger car while attempting to cross Peninsula Drive. Riley was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle involved was a 2008 BMW driven by 17-year-old TC teenager George Madison, who was uninjured in the crash. A passenger in the vehicle, 17-year-old TC teenager Anthony Kratovil, was also uninjured in the accident. The accident remains under investigation.
