Man Arrested After Driving On Meth With Baby In Car

Feb. 9, 2016

A man driving with his girlfriend and a child under the age of two was arrested for driving under the influence of methamphetamine and child endangerment.

Traverse City Police arrested the 21-year-old Cedar man at 4:15am Saturday after he was spotted slumped over the wheel at a gas station in Traverse City.

Officers determined the child’s mother, a 20-year-old Cedar woman, was not high and the child was turned over to her, but Child Protective Services was contacted, Traverse City police say.

The arrest happened in a section of Traverse City that is part of Leelanau County, so the man will face charges there.
