Mawby Wines Heading To SXSW

March 16, 2015

The wines of L. Mawby Vineyards are heading to South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin this week as part of a project to highlight Michigan talent, products and companies at the national festival.

Creative Many Michigan - a statewide organization dedicated to cultivating the creative economy in Michigan - is hosting a new SXSW venue this year called the Creative Many Michigan House. The site will feature four days of Michigan-focused workshops, performances, programming and panel discussions. "Outfitted in a curated collection of Michigan goods, wares and designs, the House itself will be a beacon to our hard-earned style and legacy of creativity," according to the organization.

Mawby wines will be among the products highlighted at the venue, which will also showcase Founder's Brewing Company, Journeyman Distillery and Proper Soda. Planned events include a Happy Hour with Start Garden and the Michigan Film Office, ArtPrize recording sessions and a dizzybird records showcase.
