Paddle for Pints Returns

April 18, 2014

Traverse City Ale Trail will once again host "Paddle for Pints" brewery pub crawls this summer after a successful inaugural launch in 2013. The event allows partakers to visit six local breweries on a Boardman River route via kayak, canoe and stand-up paddleboard (SUP).

Four outings will be available this year on June 7, July 5, July 8 and August 16. Two separate waves of up to 100 participants will launch at 10:30am and 12:00pm on event days, beginning with an optional lunch at The Filling Station Microbrewery and a launch in Hull Park, then proceeding to Right Brain Brewery, Brewery Ferment, Rare Bird Brewpub, North Peak and The Workshop before ending at Clinch Park. On July 5 and 8, participants will be encouraged to visit the National Cherry Festival beer tent at the end of the tour; a $5 beer token and $5 tent admission pin will be included in ticket pricing.

Tickets are $30 for June 7 and August 16 and $35 for July 5 and 8 and include an all-in-one cooler backpack, sunglasses, stickers, official TC Ale Trail passport and a $1 beer voucher for The Filling Station Microbrewery. Water equipment rental is separate but available. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
