Passenger Train Study Announcement Coming

A press conference will be held in Traverse City this morning (Friday) to announce funding for a major passenger rail study as first reported here last week.

Representatives from the Groundwork Center will join officials from the Michigan Department of Transportation and state and local transportation professionals to announce a major northern Michigan passenger rail study that will explore regular service between Ann Arbor and the Petoskey and Traverse City areas.
