Pathfinder Partners With Museum, Hosts "Gallery Opening"

March 26, 2015

Pathfinder School in Traverse City is hosting a gallery opening tonight (Thurs., Mar. 26), 5:30-7:30pm, at the school in celebration of a collaboration between elementary students and the Grand Rapids Art Museum.

The 3rd and 4th grade students at Pathfinder have been working on a year-long study of how different artists look at their world and used the ever-popular subject of animals. As part of the study the students visited the museum, were exposed to artistic greats, learned how to analyze, compare and write about art, and then created pieces of their own.
