Pup North Closing At Commons

Aug. 31, 2016

After nearly a year at The Village at Grand Traverse Commons, Pup North is planning to close its brick-and-mortar store and resume operations as an exclusively online retailer.

The company, which offers “apparel and accessories designed for Michigan’s four-legged explorers," is closing its shop Sunday. "Despite an incredible summer in The Village, we experienced an overwhelming and unexpected demand for wholesale and online orders," owners Lauren Maxwell and Rachel Tompkins said in a statement. "After careful consideration (and puppy eyes from Hank), we have decided to refocus our efforts away from retail."

Pup North is offering close-out sales on almost all merchandise. The company's signature Pup North line (bandanas, etc.) will be available for sale in Traverse City at Suhm-Thing and My Secret Stash, as well as online.
