Road Projects Next Week: Woodmere and 14th Street

Aug. 1, 2014

Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians who regularly travel along Woodmere Avenue will be dealing with lane closures for the next month. Starting Monday, Aug. 4, the City of Traverse City Streets Department will be repairing crosswalks on Woodmere between Carver and Eighth streets. The projected completion date is August 29, weather permitting.

Also, the City and Hallmark Construction will be building new sidewalks on the north side of 14th Street between Union and Division streets, where none exist. The project will also start Monday, Aug. 4 and is slated to be finished by Aug. 27. Streets will remain open to two-way traffic with shoulder closures at the work areas.
