Rotary Club Awards Mini-Grants

Following the reinstatement of its mini-grant progarm, the Rotary Club of Traverse Bay Sunrise Foundation awarded 10 grants totaling $5,670 to local organizations. The recipients include:

TART Trails' Recycle A Bicycle program: $1,000

Northwestern Michigan Fair: $1,000 for construction of a new lamb barn

Benzie County Health Department: $500 for its "Eating for Wellbeing" program

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Michigan: $250 for updated technology

Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau Department of Human Services: $500 for the Laundry Project

Greenspire School: $220 for a solar array

ISLAND: $400 for the Edible Trails project

Planned Parenthood: $500 for a new exam table

Traverse Bay Children's Advocacy Center: $800 for security equipment at new building

Traverse City West Senior High School Band Parents: $500 for new band trailer
