Starbucks Coming To Target

Sept. 18, 2014

Target is getting a Starbucks.

It will be a Starbucks Express, says Target’s Traverse City Store Team Leader Rick Bontekoe, and will be located near the entrance where the service desk is currently housed. (Crews are currently constructing a new service desk alongside checkout lanes near the cart area.)

The coffee chain will open sometime in November. Currently the only Starbucks store can be found inside Meijer on U.S. 31 South (West Bay Beach, A Holiday Inn Resort also serves Starbucks).

According to national media reports, Starbucks Corp. is testing new store designs, including smaller, express-style stores that cater to busy commuters, as well as upscale tasting rooms.
