Suspect Arrested For Child Pornography

The Leelanau County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with the FBI, arrested Michael Edward Burr Jr., a 22-year-old Elmwood Township resident on child pornography charges.

Leelanau County Deputies and FBI agents served an arrest warrant Tuesday afternoon. Burr was arrested on a four-count warrant for possession and distribution of child pornography along with one count of using a computer to commit a crime. A search of the residence was conducted and computers, computer components and cell phones were seized. Mr. Burr is lodged in the Leelanau County Jail.
