TC-Based Toy Eyes Major Expansion

Nov. 22, 2013

Mello&Co., one of three local companies The Ticker profiled this past summer that had found success with Grand Rapids-based Start Garden, has now launched a crowdfunding campaign via Rocket Hub to help fund its expansion. Company owner Sue Kellogg is the inventor of Nawgum, an all-in-one teething toy, that is now available in 50 stores across the country just six months after Kellogg launched the product. To meet continuing demand from current retailers and new outlets, she now needs to ramp up manufacturing runs. She is hoping to raise $20,000 via crowdfunding support. The campaign ends Dec. 27.
