TCAPS "Early College" Program Gets Green Light

July 29, 2014

The Early College program launching this fall at Traverse City Area Public Schools has received final approval from the Michigan Department of Education. Early College allows students to take college level courses and earn transferable college credits while in high school. Different than dual enrollment, Early College provides students with a defined pathway toward both high school graduation and earning up to two years of college credit or an associate degree at Northwestern Michigan College. The program is tuition-free.

Participants can choose the Liberal Arts & Sciences track or the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics-Robotics track. Learn more here.
