Top Ten Small Business Finalists Named

The top 10 finalists for the 2014 Hagerty Small Business of the Year have been announced by the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce. They are: BrightStar Lifecare of Northern Michigan, Captain's Quarters, Celtic Transport, Culver Meadows, LochenHeath Golf Club, Mad Mike's Computer Services, Northwest Michigan Surgery Center, Oryana Natural Foods Market, Short's Brewing Co. and Williams & Bay Pumping Services.

Next step? The Small Business Celebration judges will conduct site visits to each of the top 10 businesses to learn more about their operations and meet employees. The businesses will also be honored at the Meet the Top 10 Breakfast on May 7 at NMC's Hagerty Center. The 2014 winner will be unveiled May 29 at the Small Business Celebration Awards Ceremony, also at the Hagerty Center. Registration for the events is available through the Chamber's website.
