Traverse City Robotics Team Heads To World Championship

A robotics team at Grand Traverse Academy in Traverse City has qualified for the 2015 VEX Robotics World Championship tournament in Louisville, Ky. next month. Team "D" – comprised of Alirea Junga, Phillip Bourgeois, Noah Binsfield, Jonas Rein and Grace Biehl – earned a fifth place ranking at the Michigan High School VEX Robotics Tournament at Michigan State University last month. They are one of 13 teams in the state to qualify. The team posted a 14-1 league record, taking first place out of 17 Traverse City area teams to qualify for the state tournament.
