What is FootGolf?

When Elmbrook Golf Course opens for the season this weekend, it will mark its 50th year in Traverse City. Current course owners – descendants of one of the five original owners, Vern Nelson – are planning a season of time-honored traditions and new events in celebration of its anniversary.
One of those new events is FootGolf, a growing sport in which players kick a soccer ball into a cup in as few shots as possible. Traverse City's first course opens at Elmbrook in mid-May.
Additionally, Elmbrook will play host to local musicians with its Music on the Green series and also will be unveiling an expanded food and beverage operation.
