Health Programs Showcase At NMC

Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) will host a career day showcasing healthcare programs in conjunction with Grand Valley State University. Students interested in healthcare careers will have opportunity to learn more about 25 different degree programs at the event on Saturday, April 21, from 10am to noon at NMC's Health Sciences Building. It will include career-track information on nursing, social work, health information technology, clinical dietetics and more. The program, offered by NMC and GVSU, will feature area practitioners, faculty members and advisors who will be available to discuss specialized health degree programs offered in Traverse City. NMC's programs include Nursing, Dental Assisting, Paramedic and Surgical Technology. Specific program demonstrations/simulations are scheduled as follows: 

10:15-10:25 – Dental Assisting
10:30-10:40 – Surgical Technician
10:45-11:10 – Nursing
