Save The Date: "Walk The Wine Trail" Recess April 4

Join The Ticker for a special "Walk the Wine Trail" Recess on Wednesday, April 4 at Leelanau Studios at the Grand Traverse Regional Arts Campus - where you can meet local vintners and sample regional wines and ciders, enjoy beautiful art and delicious appetizers, and have a chance to win some fabulous prizes!

Attendees can "walk" the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail at Recess to meet vintners and enjoy tastings from producers including Ciccone Vineyard & Winery, Black Star Farms, L. Mawby Winery, Aurora Cellars, Blustone Vineyards, Willow Vineyard, 45 North Vineyard and Winery, and Tandem Ciders. Each attendee will receive a complimentary souvenir tasting glass. In addition to samples, guests will receive two drink tickets and enjoy delicious appetizers from The Tribune and Grand Traverse Events.

Recess guests will also be entered into a door drawing to win fabulous prizes, including:

> Grand prize: Leelanau Wine gift package, including a year of event attendance for two along the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail ($500 value)
> Leelanau Wine gift package, including a small plates progressive dinner for eight in local tasting rooms on May 31 ($500 value)
> Local Fun for Two: Two tickets to Sips n' Giggles Comedy Show featuring Michael Palascak on April 21, two tickets to any event along the wine trail, and dinner for two during the Tribune dinner series ($300 value)

The event will also feature a special photo booth area for guests to enjoy, including a photo contest with additional great prizes!

Admission to Recess is $10 and is open to the public. The event goes from 5pm to 7pm. Leelanau Studios is located at 10781 East Cherry Bend Road, Studio 1 (the former Norris Elementary School).
