Ten Finalists Named For Chamber's Small Business Award

Ten local businesses, including professional service providers, retailers, beverage specialists and technology companies, are among the finalists for the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce 2019 Small Business Celebration.The finalists move on to the SBC Top 10 Breakfast on April 30; the Hagerty Small Business of the Year will be unveiled May 7.  This year’s finalists are:

·     EXIT Realty Paramount
·     Cultured Kombucha
·     Anavon Technology Group
·     Pets Naturally
·     Pathways Preschool
·     Glitz & Spurs Boutique
·     Carter-Needham-Hathaway & Associates Farm Bureau Insurance
·     Venturi
·     Dave’s Garage

The next step is for the judges to conduct site visits to each of the Top 10to learn more about their operations and meet employees. The companies will be honored at the Meet the Top 10 Breakfast on April 30 from 8-9:30am at NMC’s Hagerty Center, a public event to celebrate this year’s finalists. The Traverse City Area Chamber’s Small Business Celebration dates to 2005, when it was created to highlight the critical role that small business plays in northern Michigan’s economy.

In addition to the SBC Top 10, the Small Business Celebration judges will evaluate several other SBC participants for the Emerging Business Award. The judges will also select one of the Top 10 finalists for the competition’s Summit Award. The recipient of the Chamber’s 2019 Hagerty Small Business of the Year Award, along with the Summit and Emerging Business awards, will be announced May 7 at the SBC Awards Ceremony starting at Hagerty Center.
