Wayne, Cass Street Closures Today

By Beth Milligan | Sept. 12, 2019

Traverse City and Elmer’s Crane and Dozer crews will be performing pavement repairs on Wayne Street between Monroe Street and North Elmwood Avenue today (Thursday). The work is expected to be substantially complete by the end of the day, subject to weather. The eastbound lane on Wayne Street between Monroe Street and North Elmwood Avenue will be closed to traffic during the work period. This segment of Wayne Street will be reduced to one lane and under flag control.

Quality Excavating will also be closing the 200 block of South Cass Street between East State Street and the alley to the south for utility work starting today. The road closure will take place starting at 1pm, with the impacted section of Cass expected to reopen by 3pm Friday. "This will cause disruptions to pedestrian and vehicle traffic," according to a city release. The alley to the south will remain open at all times during the work period.
