Four Arrested In Long Lake Meth Bust

Three Traverse City residents and one Saint Ignace woman are facing numerous methamphetamine-related charges following a multi-department drug bust at a Long Lake Township home.

The Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office Interdiction Team, Traverse Narcotics Team and Michigan State Police targeted a home on North Long Lake Road after receiving tips meth was being manufactured at the residence. Authorities pulled over a vehicle leaving the home Tuesday and interviewed two women in the car, a 27-year-old Ignace woman and a 28-year-old Traverse City woman. Both women had outstanding warrants and were arrested. A search of the vehicle turned up drugs and paraphernalia, leading detectives to obtain a search warrant for the home.

The Michigan State Police Meth Response Team was called in to assist in executing the search warrant. Two men - ages 28 and 29, both from Traverse City - were found in the home and arrested after authorities uncovered large quantities of chemicals and apparatus used to manufacture meth, along with significant amounts of paraphernalia. All four suspects lodged at Grand Traverse County Jail.
