Four Arrested In Traverse City Drug Bust

Four individuals were arrested in a Traverse Narcotics Team (TNT) drug bust in Traverse City late Thursday night.

TNT received an anonymous tip that a known narcotics dealer was in the Traverse City area and actively selling drugs. TNT identified two locations - 813 Hannah Street and 2001 Chippewa street - where drug sales were believed to be occurring and monitored the homes. Detectives observed frequent traffic to and from both locations, including between the two residences. Search warrants were obtained and executed on both residences simultaneously late Thursday night.

During their searches, TNT seized "a substantial amount of heroin, approximately $1,600 in suspected narcotics proceeds, and numerous uncapped syringes...containing suspected heroin that were ready for immediate use." Detectives arrested a 55-year-old Detroit man, a 48-year-old Traverse City woman, a 45-year-old Traverse City man, and a 40-year-old Kalkaska man on various narcotics-related charges.

According to TNT, the investigation is still continuing, "with more suspects to be apprehended and charged." TNT was assisted by the Grand Traverse Sheriff's Office, the Traverse City Police Department, and Michigan State Police K-9.
