Tamarack Lodge Lawsuit Settled

A lawsuit between two prominent local developers has been settled this week, according to a joint statement released by the two parties. Richard "R.C." Hermann, owner and developer of Tamarack Lodge on US-31, filed a lawsuit in October against Tamarack investor and Parkshore Resort owner Bryan Punturo alleging defamation after Punturo launched a website presenting an unflattering investment history of Tamarack and Hermann.

Punturo has agreed to take down the website, saying in a statement: "The statements on the website were posted without an understanding of all the facts. The characterization of Mr. Hermann and of the Tamarack development's history did not include facts about the effect of the economic downturn and the extraordinary efforts that Mr. Hermann and the other investors made to steer it through that turbulent economic period."

"We have done our very best to address the challenges posed by this dispute in the best interests of Tamarack Lodge, the development company investors and our guests," says Hermann. "We are pleased to be able to put this behind us and return our full attention to welcoming our owners and visitors...we look forward to concluding the sales of the remaining residences and commencing the premarketing of the next phase of the development."
