"The Sessions" and Sex at The State

One of Ferris State University's most popular professors – Robert Friar, professor of human physiology and human sexuality – takes the stage in Traverse City tonight as part of the State Theatre's Science On Screen special series, which pairs films with renowned experts from the world of scientific and medical research.

Professor Friar will lead a lively discussion on "Why We Have $exual Desires" along with a screening of The Sessions, which tells the story of a man confined to an iron lung who is determined, at age 38, to lose his virginity. Attendees will also receive a copy of the autobiography of Mark O'Brien, the subject of the film.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $8. Discounts for members, seniors and students.
