West Middle School Principal Resigns

Traverse City West Middle School principal Pam Alfieri announced Monday she is resigning from her post effective June 30.

According to a release from Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS), Alfieri has accepted a position with the Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District to serve as an instructional/evaluation regional coach for the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators (MAISA Region 2) service area.

“We appreciate Pam’s tireless service to the district over the last 25 years,” said TCAPS Superintendent Paul Soma in a written statement. “She has had a profound impact on thousands of young learners, and we wish her every success in her new endeavors.”

During her extensive tenure at TCAPS, Alfieri has served as a teacher, wing principal, elementary principal, and most recently as head principal for West Middle School.

TCAPS will "immediately begin the process to identify a head principal for West Middle School," according to the release.
