Amazon Now Shipping Wine to Michigan
Online retail giant Amazon announced Thursday it is expanding its popular wine delivery program to Michigan, allowing consumers in the state to purchase bottles through the site for the first time. Customers can order up to six bottles at a time for a flat shipping rate of $9.99 through Amazon Wine, which offers a selection of approximately 200 bottles from 30 different wineries to Michigan buyers. (Due to licensing regulations, not all wines carried by the site can be shipped to the state.)
Consumers interested in purchasing wine from close to home are in luck: Six Michigan wineries are represented so far on the site, including Black Star Farms, Gill's Pier Vineyard & Winery, Bregman Brothers, Bowers Harbor Vineyards, Blue Water Winery and Superior Lakes. All of the wineries but Superior Lakes qualify for shipping to Michigan.
