Cherry Fest Adds Comedy, '90s Acts To Lineup

The National Cherry Festival announced two more performances for its 2016 festival lineup Friday.

On Thurday, July 7, the festival will host a '90s dance party featuring performances from hit acts from the decade, including Vanilla Ice, Dru Hill, Color Me Badd and Tone Loc. Tickets for the evening are $50 for reserved seating or $30 for general admission.

Comedian Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias will perform the closing night of the festival on Saturday, July 9. Iglesias has had three Comedy Central specials and hosted one of the highest-rated stand-up shows on the network, "Gabriel Iglesias Presents Stand-Up Revolution." The comic is considered appropriate for fans of all ages. Tickets are $50 for reserved seating or $30 for general admission.

Tickets for both events go on sale May 27 online or by phone at 231-941-8174. Tickets are already on sale now for previously announced festival acts, including Billy Idol (July 3), Kane Brown (July 4), Frankie Ballard (July 6) and Cheap Trick (July 8). Performers have not yet been announced for July 2 or 5.
