Generations Ahead Looking For New Director
Generations Ahead, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering teen moms and dads across Northwest Michigan, has announced the upcoming retirement of its founding Executive Director, Marjie Rich, and the launch of a search for a new Executive Director to lead the organization into its next chapter.
Since its founding, Generations Ahead has built a strong foundation of impact, community trust, and organizational stability under Rich’s visionary leadership. The organization’s holistic, wraparound approach supports young parents in completing their education, strengthening their parenting skills, and building brighter futures for their families. Services range from practical essentials—such as diapers and car seats—to mentoring, playgroups, and mental health support.
“As we celebrate Marjie’s legacy and the lasting difference she has made in the lives of hundreds of families, we are also looking forward to welcoming a passionate, visionary leader to continue this important work,” Alison Metiva, Chair of the Generations Ahead Board of Directors, said in a statement.
