Grawn Man Arrested for Domestic Violence

Arthur Flinnon, a 33-year-old Grawn man, is facing two assault charges following an alleged domestic violence incident in Garfield Township.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police Traverse City post responded to the reported incident at 7:40am on November 30. Flinnon allegedly physically assaulted the victim and threatened her with a knife. The victim was able to escape the home when troopers arrived. After a brief barricade situation, troopers negotiated Flinnon’s voluntary surrender. He was arrested and lodged at the Grand Traverse County Jail.

Flinnon was charged with one count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder
and assault with a dangerous weapon. He was arraigned in the 86th District Court in Grand Traverse
County on Friday. His next court appearance is scheduled for December 12 at 2pm.
