Grawn Man Arrested for Possessing Child Sexually Abusive Material

A 40-year-old Grawn man has been arrested for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.

The Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit - Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force announced the arrest Thursday of Brett McElderry. McElderry was arrested following an investigation that began when a tip was received from the Newbury Massachusetts Police Department. A search of McElderry’s residence resulted in numerous Internet-capable devices being seized.

McElderry was charged with three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and one count of using a computer to commit a crime. He was arraigned in the 86th District Court on May 1.
