MSU, U of M Baseball Teams Plot Traverse City Exhibition Game

Good news, Spartan and Wolverine fans: Traverse City will be the host for a fall exhibition game between the Michigan State University and University of Michigan men’s baseball teams. The game is scheduled for 1pm on Saturday, October 3 at Turtle Creek Stadium.

MSU this week announced four fall exhibitions for its baseball team, including three in East Lansing. Where the East Lansing games will see the Spartans playing smaller schools like Xavier, Western Michigan, and Alma, the Traverse City game is unique for bringing college sports – and a bitter college rivalry – to northern Michigan.

“It's exciting to take our team to northern Michigan, where we have so many proud alumni for this unique experience,” MSU baseball head coach Jake Boss Jr. said in a press release on the Spartan athletics website. “Our previous trip about 10 years ago was a truly memorable one for our players as I'm sure this will be as well.”
