New Owner for Comfort Center on U.S. 31

Comfort Center, Inc at 458 U.S. 31 South has a new owner. William K . Petrosky, the current owner of the Comfort Center store on Garfield Avenue, has purchased the U.S. 31 location. Both stores will continue as full-line furniture stores feature sofas, bedroom collections, dining room groups, entertainment units, sofa sleepers, leather furniture and mattresses, including U.S.A.-made Serta, iComfort, TempurPedic, and Simmons BeautyRest and Sleep Specialist brands. The difference: The Garfield location will specialize in an upscale cottage look with Stanley Furniture, and the U.S. 31 location will offer a more mid-range price point and very modern look with the Bardini Furniture Collection, Petroskey tells The Ticker. Comfort Center was founded in 1974. There are nine stores Comfort Center stores operating in northern Michigan.
