NMC Seeks Community Input On New Strategic Plan
Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) has opened up multiple channels for the the local community to share feedback on its new strategic plan.
As The Ticker reported last week, NMC is now well underway on its next strategic plan, which will dictate the direction and priorities of the college from 2026 through 2029. Based on early visioning, it appears the plan will include pillars like future-focused education, enrollment and student success, and vibrant campus and colleagues. NMC’s Board of Trustees is expected to approve the plan at its December meeting.
Before NMC finalizes the new plan, though, the college is seeking public input. A new online survey asks stakeholders to share their opinions on the new plan’s key strategies, and a strategic planning input session has also been added to the calendar for Wednesday, October 15. The survey will be open until October 29, while the input session will run from 6-7:30pm in rooms 106-107 of the Timothy J. Nelson Innovation Center.
“The voices and critical insights of our entire community, beyond the campus borders, are important to the success of our efforts, and we value everyone’s participation as we engage in this collaborative process,” NMC President Nick Nissley said of the new input channels.
