Red Kettles Coming Out

On Friday and Saturday, July 19 & 20, The Salvation Army Traverse City Corps will hold its annual Christmas in July Red Kettle Campaign at businesses across Traverse City. The goal is to raise awareness and funds for local programs. “You may know The Salvation Army as a provider of emergency food, community meals, utility and critical need assistance, but you may not realize that The Salvation Army offers youth summer camp opportunities, families the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty through Pathway of Hope, spiritual care, nursing home visits and more,” says Major Jeff Russell.

The Red Kettle Campaign goal is $10,000, and all donations are used locally.

The Salvation Army, Traverse City has been serving those in need in the area for 125 years. Those interested in participating as bell-ringers (individuals, families and groups are welcome) can register online here.
