See What's On Stage Now

It might be the middle of winter, but there's plenty of action on stages throughout northern Michigan. In this week's Northern Express, Ross Boissoneau gives a glimpse of shows across the region. A host of local community groups stage dramas, comedies, and musicals throughout the year, in venues from high schools and churches to dedicated theaters and even restaurants. Whether you want to strut your stuff or watch your neighbors showcase theirs, there’s a play — and place — for you somewhere.

Heard of the Cadillac Footlighters? They'll be performing the sensational, buzzy show "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime" at the Cadillac Elks on Jan. 25, 26 and Feb. 1, 2. Did you know the Leelanau Players have been performing live for more than four decades? And learn more about Parallel 45's latest coup, staging shows at the Civic Center Park amphitheater in Traverse City. The professional TC-based theater company will host three rotating shows on its stage across four weeks this summer.

This and much more in this week's Northern Express "Winter Entertainment Guide," online or at one of nearly 700 spots in 14 counties across northern Michigan.
