Shorts to Host First Event at "Short's Landing" on Aug. 15
Shorts Brewing will host a patio party at its new location in Traverse City.
"While the interior of Short’s Landing is slated to open May 2027, that’s not stopping the team from Short’s and Keen from gearing up to host their first event, a fundraiser for the Northern Michigan Mountain Bike Association (NMMBA)," Short's said in a statement.
“We’ve been working hard on this new space and are excited to share it with the community," Joe Short, founder and owner of Short’s Brewing, added. “We’ve got a ton to do, but have focused on finishing the outdoor space specifically for this event.”
Short’s invites the public to join them at Short’s Landing (formerly Logan’s Landing East) for a day of bike riding, beers, and bands to benefit NMMBA. The event will be held outside, rain or shine.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 15th from noon to 10pm. There will be food and beers available with live music starting at 5pm with the Fresh Pints of Bellaire, local teen-sensations, Shortstop and TC’s. All proceeds go to NMMBA to support the Grand Travrse Commons bike park project.
Riders (and spectators) of all ages and abilities are welcome to ride laps on the Boardman Loop or go big with a 100-mile Chicken Leg loop, led by Tim Pulliam from Keen. Suggested donation: $5 per lap.
