TART Trails, Up North Pride To Host Rainbow Run

Up North Pride and TART Trails will host the Rainbow Run, a vibrant 4-mile fun run and celebration, on Saturday, June 21 around the Boardman Lake Loop Trail.

"This family-friendly, all-abilities event marks the longest day of the year with music, color stations, and community connection—all in celebration of Pride Month and northern Michigan’s 2SLGBTQ+ community," TART said in a statement.

Participants will gather at Hull Park to start the day with music, refreshments, and community activities before heading out on the 4-mile course around the lake. Along the route, five unique color stations will coat runners, walkers, and rollers in bright, celebratory powders made from non-toxic, environmentally friendly cornstarch. Whether you’re sprinting or strolling, expect to finish as a walking work of art.

Proceeds from the event benefit Up North Pride and TART Trails, supporting inclusive programming, trail development, and community events that reflect the diversity of northern Michigan.
