Two More Concerts Announced For Cherry Festival

Two more concerts have been announced as part of the 2019 National Cherry Festival lineup.

On Saturday, June 29 - opening night of the festival - three rock acts will take the Pepsi Bay Side Music Stage. They include Trapt (a modern rock band best known for hit song Headstrong), Tantric (whose song Breakdown peaked at number one on the U.S. rock charts), and Saving Abel (a Mississippi rock band who has toured with bands including Nickelback, Hinder, Papa Roach, Creed, Puddle of Mudd, Saliva, and Fuel.) Tickets go on sale Friday, May 17 at 9am online and are $15 for general admission until June 2, at which time prices will raise to $25 for general admission through June 29. Reserved tickets are $25, while premium tickets are $40.

On Thursday, July 4, the National Cherry Festival will host a Night of Motown featuring performances by The Four Tops and The Spinners. The Four Tops were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 with 24 Top-40 hits to their name, including Baby I Need Your Loving, I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch), Reach Out I'll Be There, and Ain't No Woman (Like The One I've Got). The Spinners, who have been nominated for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, also dominated the charts in the 1960s and 1970s with hit songs like Then Came You, Working My Way Back To You/Forgive Me, Girl, The Rubberband Man, and I'll Be Around. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 17 at 9am online and are $25 for general admission or $45 for reserved tickets.
