Voter Registration Events Planned For Tuesday

Members of the Grand Traverse League of Women Voters, a non-partisan organization, will host numerous voter registration assistance events around the region Tuesday (September 25) in honor of National Voter Registration Day.

Volunteers, representatives from local townships, and/or county clerks will be available to assist residents with registering to vote at the following locations Tuesday:

> Peninsula Community Library, 2699 Island View Rd., Traverse City from 9am-11am
> Kalkaska Public Library, 247 S. Cedar St., Kalkaska from 3pm-5pm
> Elk Rapids District Library, 300 Isle of Pines Dr., Elk Rapids from 4pm-6pm
> Kingsley Branch Library, 104 S. Brownson Ave., Kingsley from 2:30pm-4:30pm
> Mancelona Township Library, 202 W. State St., Mancelona from 2pm-4pm
> Forest Area High School, 7661 Shippy Rd., Fife Lake from 9am-11am
> NMC Osterlin Library, 1550 College Dr., Traverse City from 10am-2pm

Norte will also be partnership with Women’s March of Michigan Tuesday to register voters at the Norte Wheelhouse at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center from 10am to 2pm. Free pizza will be provided at the event. Parking is available at the main Civic Center building, with the Wheelhouse (the bright orange building in the northeast section of the park) accessible by the park's walking trail.
