Grand Traverse Sheriff June Stats

The Grand Traverse County Sheriffs Department logged 3,976 calls for service in June and issued 258 citations across the county's 13 townships, two villages and the City of Traverse City.

The numbers represent an increase in calls compared to May (3,788) but a drop in citations (308).

The county's most populous township, Garfield Township, recorded the most citations (94) and the most traffic crashes, 75, of the county-wide monthly total of 196. There were no traffic fatalities in the county in June, 15 total arrests for OWI (Operating While Intoxicated), 15 arrests for MIP (Minor In Possession) and 341 criminal arrests.
