Interlochen Woman Arrested After Altercation

A 49-year-old Interlochen woman was arrested Thursday afternoon after it was alleged that she struck a 24-year-old man with a hammer. Grand Traverse Sheriff's deputies responded to a residence in Green Lake Township for the report of a felonious assault. Information gathered from the scene indicated that the woman was arguing with group of individuals about the use of a vehicle. The argument escalated and the woman picked up the hammer from inthe garage and struck the man, who received a laceration. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Grand Traverse County Jail.
