Suttons Bay Traffic Stop Results In Two Arrests

Two northern Michigan men were arrested following a traffic stop Tuesday morning in Suttons Bay.

A Leelanau County Sheriff's Office deputy clocked a 2002 Dodge Suv traveling 56mph in a 45mph zone heading north on County Road 641 just south of M-204 at 8am. The deputy made a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver of the car, a 48-year-old Traverse City, had a suspended license and a bench warrant out of 13th Circuit Court for failing to pay fines on a possession of cocaine charge. The man also was in possession of hash oil and marijuana. He was arrested and lodged in Leelanau County Jail.

A passenger in the vehicle, a 50-year-old Rapid City man, had an outstanding warrant in Antrim County for failure to appear in court. He was arrested and lodged in Leelanau County Jail.
