NMC BBQ Delivers Meals for Seniors

Seniors in Grand Traverse County can enjoy a lunch from the Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) Barbecue delivered to their home, courtesy of a partnership between the college and the Grand Traverse County Commission on Aging.

The annual NMC Barbecue will be held on Sunday, May 18, from 11am-5pm. Any senior citizen age 60 or older who is homebound and lives in Grand Traverse County can order a meal to be delivered to their home the day of the event between 11am-2pm for $6. Reservations and payment - which can be arranged in person at the GT County Commission on Aging or by mailing payment to 520 West Front Street, Traverse City, MI, 49684 - must be made by Tuesday, May 13 at 5pm. In addition, the Traverse City Senior Center will act as a drop-off location for meals; anyone wishing to eat their meals there at approximately 1pm the day of the event can make reservations directly with the Senior Center at 231-922-4911.
