Sept. 29, 2016

A 38-year-old Northport man was seriously injured in a crash in Suttons Bay Township Wednesday morning.

Leelanau County Sheriff's Office deputies and Suttons Bay Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the scene of the single-vehicle accident on M-22 north of Jacobson Road at 9:45am. The victim was driving southbound on M-22 when he attempted to pass two other vehicles that were also southbound. The man lost control of his car, a 1989 Ford Mustang, spinning out and leaving the left side of the roadway. The vehicle crashed into a tree.
