Top Intersections For Car Accidents

July 29, 2015

What is the most likely place for a car accident in Grand Traverse County? According to a southern Michigan law firm that has done some digging, the answer is the intersection of US 31 and W. South Airport Road in Garfield Township. Michigan Auto Law, auto accident attorneys in Farmington, has released a blog post "Here are the most likely places for car accidents in Grand Traverse County," detailing data obtained from the Traffic Crash Reporting Unit of the Michigan State Police. In 2014, there were 49 crashes at that intersection (mostly low-impact fender benders). A close second was 46 accidents at East South Airport Road and North Garfield Road, followed by 41 at 3 Mile Road and US-31.

The law firm also looked at intersections where the most "injury" accidents occured. Topping the list was Cass Road/W. South Airport Road and US-31/North 4 Mile – both with seven crashes.
