Two Injured In M-22 Crash

Aug. 24, 2016

Two drivers were injured in a car crash Monday on West Harbor Highway in Cleveland Township.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of a two-car accident at 4:27pm on M-22 just east of Bohemian Road. A 2011 Ford Fusion driven by a 54-year-old Ludington man was westbound on M-22 when a 2003 Nissan eastbound on the road crossed the center line, striking the Ford on the driver's side. The Nissan was driven by a 17-year-old Traverse City male. After striking the Ford, the Nissan spun out of control and rolled over.

The Ford driver was transported to Munson Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The Nissan driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries. He was also issued a citation for driving too fast and causing the collision.
